TUEETOR CHATS with the founders of ArtzGem
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” Most commonly attributed to Pablo Picasso, this quote is seen to be a favourite one for Nel Lim, one of the co-founders of ArtzGem.
Nel Lim graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2010. He is now a Singapore-based photographer. While he pursues creative collaborations, he also loves teaching art and crafts to children, ranging from air-clay to recycled art and water-colours.
The other half of ArtzGem is Carol Raeburn. As a jewellery designer with her own label, Carol creates contemporary day-to-evening jewellery using sterling silver and other metals, natural gemstones, freshwater cultured pearls, crystals and leather. She is also trained in Western Art from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and Acrylic Painting from Lasalle College of the Arts.
The dynamic duo co-founded ArtzGem to teach art and jewellery to all ages. Read on to find out more about ArtzGem.
