Sherman Tan

I specialise in tutoring subjects (for all levels) such as English, English Literature, General Paper, History, Geography, Social Studies, Sociology, and Philosophy (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay). My rates/charges are highly negotiable, as I believe in catering to each student's specific needs and financial circumstances. I am currently teaching and writing curriculum for English (Primary/Secondary) and the Humanities (Secondary/IB/JC), for a number of tuition and private education centres in Singapore. I am currently completing my PhD in Arts and Social Sciences (Sociology, Linguistics, Media and Cultural Studies), at the Australian National University, but based in Singapore while writing my dissertation. I am on a full research scholarship from the university, have tutored undergraduates, and consistently presented at international conferences (Chicago, Oslo, Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore). I obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy (Sociology, Linguistics, Anthropology), First Class Honours, from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2013.
